REUMATISMUL

 

Reumatismul este un termen generic, care inglobeaza peste 100 de  boli inflamatorii cronice si dureroase, care afecteaza oasele, articulatiile, muschii, tendoanele si ligamentele. De asemenea, reumatismul poate afecta si organele interne, inclusiv inima, rinichii, plamanii sau pielea. Umflarea, roseata, rigiditatea, caldura si durerea sunt simptome de inflamatie specifice bolilor reumatice.   Adesea, oamenii asociaza reumatismul cu artritele sau febra reumatica (complicatie a streptococului tip A) care pot afecta functia inimii.

 

Boala reumaticaBolile reumatice au fost clasificate in functie de procesele aferente inflamatiei si durerii, localizare si de caracteristicile simptomelor.  Ele pot fi:

  • boli autoimune:  artrita reumatoida, lupus eritematos sistemic, artrita psoriatica etc
  • boli infectioase:  artrita specifica bolii Lyme, artrita reactiva
  • reumatismul nearticular (tesuturi moi): tendinita, bursita, fibromialgia
  • boli degenerative ale articulatiilor:  osteoartrita   etc

Terapia adreseaza  procesele existente pe la nivelul oaselor, articulatiilor si muschilor (inflamatie / infectie / degenerare),  fiind neinvaziva si personalizata pentru a adresa in mod eficient conditiile existente.
